What you need to know

•On your first lesson you must bring with you both parts of a valid driving licence.•You must bring with you any glasses or contact lenses that you need in order to see properly. It is a legal requirement that I check your eyesight prior to teaching you to drive. Any Glasses or Contacts that you need must be brought every lesson. We cannot proceed with the lesson if you do not have them.•Lessons are one full hour in duration. If the instructor is late then the time will be added to the end of the lesson. If you are late then you lose that period of the lesson. If you do not turn up at the beginning of the lesson the instructor will wait for fifteen minutes before leaving. If this is not possible due to parking restrictions then the Instructor will return to see if you have arrived as often as is reasonably possible. •You can be charged for any lessons cancelled less than 24 hours prior to the intended start of the lesson. It would be helpful to know as early as possible. If the Instructor should have to move the lesson then you will be given as much warning as possible.•No credit is given. Lessons will not be conducted if you do not have the money to pay at the time the lesson is given. Tests that are booked by your instructor must be paid for in full before they are booked.•Any information that it is necessary to collect about you will be taken only with your full permission. This information will not be disclosed to any other parties except the Driving Standards Agency for the purpose of booking tests. All information will be deleted once you cease to be a pupil of Mel’s Driving School. •The Driving Instructors Voluntary Code of Practice will be adhered to at all times by Mel’s Driving School.
